Mt Pleasant is one of Charleston’s largest residential areas. Known for its top-rated school systems and close proximity to downtown, Mt pleasant has become one of the most sought-after communities in Charleston. Here you’ll find great local restaurants, tons of shopping, and sprawling county parks! Mt pleasant also grants access to two of Charleston’s most popular beaches, Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms. 

One of my favorite areas of Mt Pleasant is the Shem Creek neighborhood, where several bars and restaurants sit along the creek. Here you’ll find people kayaking and paddleboarding, as well as lines of shrimp boats dropping off fresh local seafood. Keep a sharp eye on the water as you dine on one of the many large patios and you may likely catch a glimpse of dolphins swimming through the creek!
